"What am I supposed to do?" Adam asked as Gabriel went to sit down on the bed pouting as he watch his wife learn to summon.
"Quite a simple progress really, just place the card that you want to summon on the floor and take a couple of steps back," Jovial begins. "And say the words 'I, [your name], summon you to come to serve me."
"That's it?" Adam asked frowning while looking at the silver card.
"What a silly question," Jovial replied not at all liking the fact that someone is doubting his intelligence. "I do not play around about the workings of the hospital, Mrs. Redwood."
"…Alright then," Adam said still not really believing his words but was more than willing to give it a shot. So he place the silver card down and took four steps backward. "I, Adam Wilson, summon you to come to serve me."
When nothing happen Adam look over toward the unimpressed butler who was looking at him like he was a very slow toddler.
"Mrs. Redwood, I do not think I need to tell which part of that was wrong do I?"
"No, you don't," Adam said annoyed as he took a deep breath to get ready to say the correct words. "I, Adam Redwood, summon you to come to serve me."
This time the card begins to glow and breaks into pieces as the wind begins to spin around in its place causing both Adam and Gabriel to cover their eyes to block the wind. Adam clenched his teeth as he tried to keep the wind from pulling him in, his heart dropping to his stomach as he end up falling forward.
"Crap!!" Adam shouted as he could do nothing but wait for impact only to have something wrapped itself around his stomach and pulled back into something hard and warm. Finally, the wind subsided allowing Adam to open his eyes to see a woman standing in the card's place.
"My my," the woman's savory sweet voice mused as her deep violent eyes eyed the two men that were embracing each other. "This is not what I expected when I was summoned, interesting."
At first, Adam could not understand what she meant before realizing that he was still clinging to Gabriel's arm which was still wrapped around him tightly.
"My bad," Adam laughs nervously as he let go of him allowing Gabriel to remove his arm. "Thanks for catching me."
"No problem," Gabriel answered happily that all the wind was gone and decided to walk up to the woman to observe her more. "Now who are you?"
"I am number one," The woman answered politely as she shake his hand. "I am happy to serve you."
The woman looked like she was of Japanese descent with milk-white skin, red lipstick, long black hair that flows passed her back, and striking violet eyes that seems to suck a person in with a beauty mark under the left side of her eye. She was wearing a black business dress that shows off her curves and matching high heels.
"She is very beautiful," Gabriel stated as he made circles around her poking at her occasionally with his finger. "Human-like."
"I thought that they would be more aliening looking," Adam stated as he watch the woman squirm a little when Gabriel poke her side and laugh when the woman had enough and attempt to stab him with what looked like a really long needle. This led to a game of tag with Gabriel dodging her attacks and running. "It's truly amazing, they have personality too."
"Well since the progress involves a small piece of three souls and fusing it together," Jovial answered feeling happy to have his abilities is being recognized. "Adding to some random personality to give it some spice leading to this avatar creation."
"Soul?" Gabriel asked Jovial alarmed as he bend backwards to dodge three needles that were thrown his way. "You kill someone?"
The needles that she was going to throw next had dissolved when she realized that her boss was not paying attention to the game they were playing. Number one had smoothed out her dress with her hands before following him back towards her other redhead boss and head staff member.
"Did I say anything about killing?" Jovial asked raising an eyebrow before letting out a tired sigh as he begin to explain in more detail. "If I actually drag somebody's soul and bring them here for you two it will upset the balance of that world and most importantly lead to disrupting the harmony of this place since they might not be willing to do their jobs. So a small piece would be alright since not only will it not be affected the person in that universe but is also enough to properly form a new being with."
"And how much is 'small'" Gabriel asked him seriously making Adam realize how different he looks when he is not being jolly. Gabriel's warm honey-brown eyes now turn murky brown as he stares down the system.
"How rude of you, ready to kill me because of your biased assumption," The system stated with a snort. "If you must know it is about 0.0009 percent."
Gabriel relaxed when he heard the status and rubbed the back of his head as he looked up at the ceiling to avoid Jovial's piercing stare. "Ah, sorry about that I should trust that you would not do something so sinister as that to another being."
"Correction, I would do something like that," Jovial answered unbothered at the way the two men stiffen up. "As long as it has no negative impact on Rue Hospital."
"Then I will make sure that the day you need to never comes," Gabriel said determine with number one and Adam watching the conversation from the sideline. "So there will be no need for anybody to die."
'Goodness, he will never truly listen to what I said did he?' Jovial thought finding the former owner's descendant to be a little on the dull side.
"Sorry to interrupt this important conversation but if you do not mind me asking, who is Mrs. Redwood?" Number One asked curious before looking at Adam and what he have on with a small barely noticeable smirk. "I guess that it was you that summon me."
"Um, y-yes," Adam stuttered out when those violet orbs focused on him, he found himself cursing at Jovial mentally for not supplying him with a new outfit at his request. 'Ah, this is so embarrassing.'
"Well then, it is nice to meet the both of you, Mr. and Mrs. Redwood," Number One greeted again with a polite bow. "As I said before my name is Number One based on being the first that has been summoned, I am quite skilled with office work but my talent shines the best at being able to assist the doctors with vitals and preparing the room for them."
"Nice to meet you," Adam said politely while his mind was going through the options to where to put the woman at. 'I guess I should wait until I summon the other two before making things official.'
"I guess I should name you-" Gabriel begin only to be cut off by Adam.
"No! You already named Jovial," Adam protested before looking at Number One thinking of a name that would fit her.
Number One waited patiently for Adam to decide about her new name, she could not help but wonder if it was something simple or grand. 'Why am I getting so excited?'
"Ayaka"
"What a beautiful name, Ayaka" Ayaka said as she tested out the name slowly. "I promise to bring great honor to it."
Not sure what to say about that Adam decided to focus on the other two summoning cards. The same thing happen and soon there was another woman and a man appeared.
The man looked around in his late twenties has sharp red eyes with a small scar running across one of his eyebrows and short black hair. He was wearing a short-sleeved navy blue janitor uniform that shows the tattoos on his arms. Gabriel decided to name him 'Jaws' thanks to his shark-like teeth that he saw when the man grinned at them.
While the woman was on the chubby side with curly dark brown hair that was pulled into a ponytail and forest-green eyes. She was wearing a dark blue blouse, a black skirt, and a doctor's coat. Adam named her 'Susan'.
"Now that the team is ready we can get started," Gabriel said before pointing at the part that said 'five patients'. "Jovial how are supposed to get people who need help when the hospital looks the way it does?"
"I do not have the slightest clue," Jovial lied with a straight face. "It would be for the best if you talk to Mrs. Redwood about this problem at hand."
Gabriel believed him wholeheartedly before making his way over to Adam and pulling him away from the group to their bed to talk to him in private. While the avatars looked at the system unimpressed by the bald-faced lies that they just heard.
"Hm? Why are you looking at me like that? Let's give our masters their privacy." Jovial said before they vanished in golden dust.
"Poor man, believing that old dinosaur's lie." Jaws said before disappearing with Susan and Ayaka following right behind.
