"Something big is coming," Luciel whispers.
Doryu grumbles. This was just after he had discovered a pool of water and had already started to squat down, cupping his hands into the pond, ready to take a sip and take a much-needed bath. But no, of course, something big was coming.
He starts to get up, ready to run away.
"What are you doing?" Luciel hisses, "Fight it!"
Doryu tries to ask how, but of course, that's when the big thing happens.
From inside the depths of the pond an Aquixro erupted.
The beast had a slim figure, that's why it was dangerous. It looked like a water snake, only instead of snakeskin, it dawned green scales as sharp as swords. The beast glares at Doryu before striking.
The thirty-foot beast slides across the land, charging headfirst at Doryu. He manages to dodge the attack, but it's what comes next that crushes him.
The beast swerves it's head around as the rest of its body follows. Doryu's cornered, his back is against a tree. The beast circles itself around Doryu before chargeing once again in the man's direction, only this time it isn't preparing for a headbutt; it's aiming to form a tight knot around him.
"Jump!" Luciel shouts inside his head, and jump Doryu does. For a second, he's afloat, in the air, before crashing down onto the land below. He looks behind him at the tree his back was against just seconds ago; it's shattered.
"The Aquixro is a territorial race of wyverns, ones that squeeze and choke their enemies to death, whichever comes first."
"You might have immortality but you are not immune to pain."
