After carrying the snake's body to the river bank I start to drink a little water since I am quite thirsty.
While I was drinking water calmly and happy about my victory, my body remained still, as if it were being watched by a predator.
'What is this feeling?' I thought upset since this sensation was similar to when I first saw Father, and felt his instinct to kill but this was completely different, it was an undisguised murderous instinct at all.
In panic I looked around the place until I saw some trees being knocked down by something very big.
Faced with the worrying sensation increasing, I jump back as I move as far away as possible to create distance between whatever it is and me.
As he walked away I saw a large tree fall from the sky, interrupting my escape.
For the first time I cursed my luck and turned to see the source of my fear.
When I realized it, I saw in shock how it was a snake, not only was it a snake, it was a huge snake, it was easily about 10 meters long, while its appearance was quite similar to that of a cobra with a horn on its head.
'I'm dead' that was my thought when I saw how that cobra let out a furious roar while his eyes were red with fury.
My body is hardened with fear to be able to move what I want.
Slowly I began to back away to get further away, but the snake didn't wait a single second and lunged in my direction with its mouth open to eat me.
Faced with this movement, I run like hell to avoid dying at the hands of this thing.
Ignoring this, the snake collided squarely against the trunk of the tree where it completely destroyed it.
Naturally my instinct as a Dragon screamed at me to flee, but I knew it would be useless.
This snake was faster and stronger than me, although I have a slight advantage.
That is my intelligence and cunning, if I play my cards well and use my environment then I can emerge victorious.
The cobra became even more angry and slid at high speed to where it was.
Without wasting time I start running across the lake towards a large rock.
When I was one meter away from impact, I bent my body in another direction, letting the snake continue along, colliding with the rock and in the process generating some injuries.
'Perfect' Thinking that I jump towards the snake's back where I use my claws starting to cut its skin, which was quite hard, telling me a little to generate a real wound.
At this the monster began to writhe with me above.
Given the sudden movements, I lose my balance and am immediately hit by the snake's tail.
I felt my body fly at high speed before crashing into a tree, destroying it and some branches of other trees in the process.
After a hard landing I grimaced in pain, wanting to cry from the unbearable pain, since my wings had broken in the process of hitting trees and falling on them.
Getting up I slowly looked at the large cobra which was quickly approaching to finish its job.
As the distance was reduced my heart was trembling with fear at his strong killing intent.
For the first time I felt afraid of dying, a fear so primal that it left me unable to even react.
Because of this, the cobra swallowed me whole, bringing me to a world of darkness and viscosity as I began to be slowly digested.
...
..
.
My breathing was rapid as I felt myself slowly being crushed as oxygen slowly began to run out.
Being crushed and unable to move while you were slowly suffocated was a desperate and traumatic feeling.
I could even feel how tears began to fall from my eyes before me inevitably.
Even though I had died once I had no memory of my death, or the feeling I had, and this was overwhelming me.
My eyes began to grow heavy as all I could hear was the sound of something being slowly crushed and a burning sensation in my body.
Although one sound was what caught my attention the most.
*Thump* *Thump* *Thump*
It was the sound like that of a drum, which began to be emitted with force.
The sound continued to be heard, I tried to find the origin of the sound but I stopped when I felt my heart.
It was me who was causing this sound, or rather my heart was pounding.
But it was useless, my consciousness was weak and I had no strength to move or even think.
All I wanted was to sleep.
My eyes closed involuntarily as my world was covered in darkness.
As my body was covered by darkness I could feel that I was floating in nothingness.
"So I died again... Heh, Pathetic, dying eaten by a snake like it was an insect."
I felt my own sarcasm in my words as I continued floating in that darkness.
For the first time I knew what it felt like to live in another world as one of the strongest creatures, but as quickly as it arrived it vanished.
An incredible and short life of just a few days, without a doubt a shitty life.
I did what I could and fought, but I was defeated and devoured, possibly dead now.
As my internal monologue continued, brief images of my new life began to play in my head.
Although they were few, I certainly wished they lasted longer.
My incredibly silly little brother Yellow, who I would have liked to have a deeper sibling relationship with, and the cold and defiant Blue, would undoubtedly be proud and would get into trouble and seek my help.
But now he was dead.
'I wish I at least had one last chance and enjoyed my life more' Thinking about that I stopped thinking while drowsiness began to invade me.
But right after that I felt like something warm was wrapping around me which filled me with a new strength.
I felt like my body was lifted by the light as I felt this familiar sensation inside me.
True, this is the same feeling I had when I shot that beam from my mouth.
After a few moments, a flash cut through me and I felt my body again, which was being slowly crushed, although this time my body was overflowing with great power.
I felt my body warm during that sensation.
My vision turned red as I stood up.
This time I used my will, guiding that sensation to my jaws where I manipulated it until it formed a circle and then fired it with my strength to one side.
In less than a second I saw how a large hole formed in the snake's abdomen and without hesitation I jumped through it, leaving this place.
'I am alive!' It was the first time I felt so elated and energized from escaping certain death.
