Though he had no idea why the Queen of Hearts was behaving so strangely, Alex suspected something was going on behind the scenes. Now that he thought about it, he knew very little about what was really behind his reincarnation, or how the system even worked.
On several occasions, the Queen of Hearts had implied that she was not alone working behind the scenes. And because of this, Alex was beginning to suspect she might have a boss of some kind. Unfortunately for him, she only revealed herself when she wanted to. And after what he just witnessed, Alex could guess it would be a while before he saw the woman again.
