Chad was waiting outside the American Fight Club for several hours. He had pulled his hood over his head to conceal his features, and had a 40 oz bottle of malt liquor in his hands, which he repeatedly drank from.
In the eyes of those who saw him, he was just another one of the city's bums. Like most American city's Las Vegas had a serious homeless problem. And most people just treated them as if they were part of the city landscape.
It was not until Vanessa got off from work late in the evening that someone finally noticed that Chad was not a drug addled vagrant. She caught the look of the man and his pathetic state in the corner of her eye. If she had just shrugged it off, she would not have noticed he was someone she knew. But then she took a second look and noticed that this was indeed one of her customers.
