"So, should we go and see her?" Dale asked the question before he could voice his thoughts out loud while his brother stood, ready to leave.
He guessed they shared the same idea, thinking of the woman who might have the answer. So far, he admitted Venus was the best lead they had.
But before he could step out of his table to follow his brother, the door in his office abruptly opened.
"What is going on here?" A loud male voice demanded as he strode into the room without waiting for an invitation.
As he had expected, his half-brother was usually the last to know what was happening around them. It was either he was genuinely clueless, playing dumb, or did not give a damn.
The world could be on fire, and his brother would still be comfortably drinking himself to oblivion in a bar or a casino, gambling away his inheritance.
"Haven't you heard, Dante?" He turned to his half-brother, watching his reaction.
