"Where did that come from?" She pointed at the basket of food he took out from the backseat of his car.
He had it prepared while they were eating at the diner. He did not mean it as a surprise, but Thalia did not appear to notice it earlier.
"I had Leslie prepare a few snacks for us. We can eat it later while we are in the boat." Travis told her as he guided her along the wooden docks, following a small, narrow path toward the waters.
He could see her eyes scouting the assortments of boats in different sizes as they passed them by, but none of those massive, luxurious ones was his.
"Let me warn you again. I don't do well around waters." Reminding him that she was not an excellent swimmer. He had seen her paddle in a short distance, but that was it. He had no idea that she could not swim that well. But he guessed farm girls did not swim a lot.
