"I am on my way!" He spoke on the phone, shifting the gear of his engine before maneuvering his car in another direction.
After dropping his wife at the restaurant, he drove straight to his office. He had a meeting, and he was already late.
However, he heard his phone ring before he could pull through the front of his building. It was an urgent call that he could not ignore.
"Wenna, I am sorry. But I won't make it." He spoke on the phone when his call connected. "Please apologize. Make up a reasonable excuse." He knew his assistant would know what to do.
