Sadly, it was but wishful thinking on her part. What she thought was real was but a dream. An illusion that she wanted to believe because it appeared so perfect.
But she was wrong, as he had pointed out. He believed he belonged somewhere else with someone else. For him, she was not the one.
"A dream!" Chantal whispered to herself. Everything was nothing but an illusion that she held on. However, once she woke up, she had no recourse but to face her reality.
Nevertheless, she did want to accept it. But what could she do? It was not like she could force him to change his mind. She already begged, but he still left.
"Do you promise to be true to her…" Suddenly, a voice sounded in the air.
She assumed it was not far. It was just beyond the cloud of white smoke. She could not see it, but she could sense what was happening.
