"I don't think we can finish all this today," Her friend announced with exhaustion. Then, Jules sat on the empty chair near where she stood.
She could see that they were halfway through removing most of the old torn wallpaper, fixing the broken cabinets, and removing the unnecessary shelves and displays in the dining area.
Nevertheless, work did not seem to end as she spotted many more things to do around her. However, no hardship would stop her from pursuing her goal.
"You think..." Thalia sarcastically answered. "That fool could hardly finish half the work he had to do." She pointed to the man who made a bet with her.
She could discernably notice how he was struggling with the task he had foolishly taken upon himself. But he only had himself to blame since he was the one who challenged her.
She did not doubt that he would not finish it. At the very end of the day, he would surrender. She could undoubtedly hear him cursing this job.
