"Ouch!"
It still hurt.
She could still feel the soreness of her joints and muscles, especially now that the doctors had lowered the dose of her pain relievers.
However, it was more tolerable now except for a few occasional stints of pain in selected areas of her body. But the doctors assured her that she was already on the road to recovery.
"Uhm!" She tried to fight the surging ache on her sides as she moved, but it was still one hell of a battle.
Still, she forced herself to move, not wanting her condition to cripple her. After all, she was a doctor. She knew it would only worsen if she let the pain beat her.
She had to listen to the therapist and do what they told her. As a health professional, she had to practice what she preached. She had to be the patient, not the doctor.
"A few more Chantal." The therapist encouraged her to take a few more repetitions of her exercises.
