"Isn't this exciting?" Jules heard her friend speak behind her while checking the new place they were considering renting for their brand-new venture together.
Her husband offered to buy the place or give her a space in some property he owned. But, of course, she declined. It would beat the purpose of making it without his help if she took her husband's offer.
She was not being stubborn. She was just being true to herself. She wanted a business to earn her keep without being stigmatized as a gold digger again.
"Yeah, it is." She whispered, answering no one in particular. Besides, her friend was not even talking to her.
Anyway, she believed it was better for an outsider, who was not family, to invest in the business. In that way, she would have no choice but to do better.
After all, she still had to repay the investment and guarantee her investor got his money's worth. Besides, Jimmy seemed the perfect partner in this endeavor.
