After an hour or so of reminiscing about her childhood, privately mourning her past while talking about the good old days, she knew it was time to leave.
She might be reluctant to leave the place she considered her home for most of her life. She doubted her stepmother would appreciate finding her inside this house without her permission.
"Don't you want to wait and see your Dad?" Willa, on the other hand, was hesitant to see her leave. "I know it is not my place to meddle with your family affairs, but..."
The older woman stopped as if she was reticent about what was going through her mind. But somehow, she felt she already knew what was in her heart.
She also thought countless times about seeing her father again. She even dreamt of the day she would introduce her son to her father.
"But I don't think this is the time." She looked at her watch, seeing that her husband must be wondering where she was.
