Mr. McLarren called her moments later after her lengthy conversation with her friend, Thalia. Surprisingly, he asked her if she could have lunch with him.
Of course, how could she say no to the man she was asking to invest in their business? Without wasting another minute, she accepted his invitation.
"But what if he says no?" Again, the fear of rejection rang in her ears.
