He silently thought when he tightened the knots and returned the busted wheel to its compartment. Then, he walked his wife back to the passenger's seat of his damn car.
But now, he could not wipe out the smug smile on his lips at the surprise look on his wife's face. He felt that if that did not impress her, nothing will.
"You?" Jules questioned with her wide eyes as she pointed her fingers at him.
"Yeah, me. And I assure you that you are in safe hands." Damon steered his wife on the passenger side, remembering his son's words to open and close the door for her.
But instead of climbing, she shied away, stepping back and moving out of his reach. Of course, that was not what he had expected.
"No. I am not flying in that thing." She stepped back further, appearing terrified.
