"I will just go out for a few hours," Jules announced as she walked into the kitchen, finding the usual staff and Philip by the counter, discussing the day's menu.
Philip had always managed the house, ensuring everything in the mansion ran smoothly and everyone did their job, at least to his standard, which was near perfection.
At the moment, he had to guarantee that food was on the table at each meal and that every nook and cranny of that humongous place had no dust in sight, among other things.
"Are you taking young master with you?" Philip asked, turning to look at her, probably thinking she was going out with her son like yesterday.
But she was not. She had other plans today. And as much as she wanted to bring Oliver with her, she could not.
"No, not today." After last night, she believed she needed to be alone, away from everything, even her son. She wanted a quiet place where nobody would bother her and let her think without interruption.
