Dinner had been unusually quieter than usual. He and his wife barely said anything to each other. The only constant noise on the dining table came from Oliver's chatters about his day.
He knew he wanted to be alone with his wife. He had several things he needed to discuss with her. But he could not do it in front of his son.
"What did you buy?" Damon finally asked as they finished up with their meal.
Truthfully, he was getting used to having breakfast, sometimes lunch, and regular dinners with his family. It was a routine that he was slowly looking forward to every day.
He was starting to enjoy their small talk. His son would tell him about his day at his new school and his new friends. Then, he would also share a few things about his work.
