Jules did not know her, but she always had an odd feeling about her. She never liked judging people by their looks, but she could not help but be suspicious about her.
After all, she only knew Farrah from that one time they had their unfortunate incident where she slapped her.
Nevertheless, Farrah had said sorry. It would be rude if she acted all tough and almighty and did not accept her apology. And what example would she show her son if she turned her away?
"Sure..." It sounded forced as it came out of her lips. But she doubted if her son would notice that. "Shall we go and play?" She grabbed Oliver's little fingers and pulled him toward the center of the activity.
"Yeah, shall we." Jules could hear Travis behind her when she noticed her husband walking on the other side of their son.
Maybe to the onlookers, they perceived them as a happy family. But what were they, in truth? She could hardly call them a family, perhaps in papers, but not reality.
