A drink!

That was what she needed. "Just a glass!" She mumbled to herself.

She had sworn herself away from alcohol. But despite her promise, she knew she could use one tonight. She guessed dealing with Dale would never get easy, especially if he was unwilling to let go.

She never wanted to hurt him in the first place. So, seeing him in pain was also heartbreaking for her. Leaving him with a note at the altar was easier since she never had to face him. She never had to see the hurt in his eyes.

But now, witnessing it made her realize that what she imagined was far from what was real. It was far worse than what she had pictured in her head.

"Do you have a light drink?" Usually, she would ask for a non-alcoholic drink, but maybe something with a tinge of alcohol would not hurt.

She sat on the empty stool, thankful that the bar was slightly vacant except for two aged gentlemen laughing on the other side.
