Jules felt antsy as she sat in her chair. It was like something significant was about to happen, but she could not discern what it was.
"Damn it!"
How could she relax and sit still when she knew her time was running out? She could die any minute now. Sadly, she could not do anything about it.
She guessed all she could do was pray for a miracle. However, her mother-in-law did not seem bothered when she turned in her direction.
"But how?" She shouted inside her brain. How could she look so calm amid their dire situation?
But she guessed that was the difference between her and her mother-in-law. Her experiences in life must have taught her how to handle pressure amidst this life-threatening situation.
Nothing could faze her, not even death.
"Calm down!" Suddenly, Frances's voice wafted in the air. Soon, she turned to her as if she was directly speaking to her. "You are not helping yourself by panicking."
