That was what he thought.
"It can't be true."
Of course, that was all a load of crap.
He did not want to believe it.
"It is all a lie." Damon considered someone might have fabricated the data to create this bullshit story.
He stared at the folder that contained assorted information about his mother's association with Jules's stepmother.
"Mom is paying Jules's mom. Are you sure?" Dale looked at him with disbelief when he told him where their investigation had led them.
So far, his investigator had discovered that their mother had issued an enormous check in Venus's name. It seemed the two had business deals he had never been aware of.
"In fact..." He paused and sighed, feeling the frustration with this new information. "... it was numerous checks." He saw not one but several transactions on the record.
