He had been driving around for hours, cruising along the busy city streets amongst the horde of honking cars and crowded pedestrian lanes, with no particular direction initially planned in mind.

Now, he sat silently inside his car, staring at the dimly lit, almost empty parking lot of what seemed to be a twenty-four-seven superstore, wondering if he should go home or do something else.

"Fuck it!" Dale mumbled, hitting the steering wheel of his car with the heels of his palms, expressing his frustration as he analyzed his last conversation with his ex-fiancée.

It felt like different emotions rushed through him like a tidal wave. And he could not seem to get on top of it as he struggled to stay afloat, drowning in what appeared to be on the forefront of the list, his misery.

"What now?" He lowered his face, slumping down on his arms, wondering where he would go from here.
