"I beg your pardon." Jules could not help but answer the woman. She looked downright livid as she realized what she had asked her to do.
She had no problem with being mistaken for a maid. She had nothing against the hired help since she believed it was a decent and honest job.
Nevertheless, she did not like being judged just because of her clothes or status in life. She believed people were worth more than that.
She would admit she hated how this woman looked down on her. It was as if she was way below this, Ms. Judson, just because she wore more expensive clothes and jewelry than her.
"I will handle your things, Ms. Judson." Philip intervened, probably hoping to neutralize that awkward situation before his boss witnessed the growing tension.
