"How do you say eight o'clock?" She whispered in her husband's ears, not wanting to break from her role.
Although she would be honest, she was not that clueless. She only wished to play with her husband, who probably thought she knew nothing about such things.
"You just say eight hundred." Her husband smiled but still helped her out. Nonetheless, she could see the glint in his eyes.
The one she saw in every man who thought they were better than their female counterparts. She could not blame her husband. She believed his parents or the society he lived in taught him to act this way.
But in her world, she had to compete in every aspect of her life just to be recognized or gained respect. She had to be better than a man to get an equal opportunity.
"We need to be in the restaurant in eight hundred." She repeated, hoping that would keep the kids going.
