"I am on my way." He irritatedly responded on the phone when his father called, demanding he better not be late for dinner.
Why did he even agree to meet with him? Because he could never say no to him. He always trusted his father. There had been no reason not to.
However, he had been busy the entire day with meetings, planning, and other things. He would have preferred to go home and rest instead.
"You better be, Travis." His father said, but he did not wait for a response as the line went dead.
He would have liked to ask about the urgency and importance of the meeting, but he never got the chance. His father's secretary had been vagued when she called earlier.
He guessed he had to wait until face to face with his father, which would be in a few minutes if he hurried. Therefore, he quickly grabbed his things and said goodnight to his assistant.
