He had never felt totally and utterly bushed as he finally drove home. It had been a very eventful day and night. What started as a simple drink turned out to be an all-nighter.
He looked at his watch again as he entered the mansion's gate and realized that it was way past midnight. He could already assume that everyone would be already asleep.
"Good evening, Master Damon." But not Philip. The man did not know how to sleep as he stood by the door, seemingly fully alert, still in his uniform, to welcome him.
No matter what he said to him about loosening up, the man did not know how to ease up from his obligations. He was stricter with rules.
However, lately, he noticed a few changes in his behavior. His most trusted butler seemed to smile a lot, appearing entirely out of his character.
