His eyes watched as the long, thin hands on the circular time machine on his wrist ticked every second. If only he could find a way to make it move faster, he would do it.
Frankly, there was only one place he would rather be. And this meeting was not it. But it was an obligation he could not ignore. Therefore, he had no choice but to wait till it was over.
"Are you even listening?" A voice snapped him back to the present, making him jerk in his seat to pay attention. "You have been staring at your watch as if your mind is elsewhere." The man beside him whispered.
Suddenly, Damon realized he had zoned out, losing track of what was happening in the conference room. Luckily, he had his friend to update him.
"I need to be somewhere else." He admitted, lowering his voice so as not to interrupt the man discussing his findings.
