He was surprised she was ready to give up half of his wealth. Not many could refuse the allure of fortune in the palm of their hands.
At the same time, he guessed he already knew she would decline his offer, especially after what he had discovered about her.
"Ok. So what else do you want?" He could not help but wonder what she could want that was more important than what he had already prepared to give her.
Nevertheless, no matter what it was, he would give it to her, no question asked. He would do anything she wanted if she agreed to his conditions, too.
"I want an honest and open communication. If you have something to say that should concern me or Oliver, you should never keep it from me." She informed him.
"And I will also do the same." Then, she dropped her gaze, staring at her fingers as she twisted and stretched them on her lap.
