She could feel that something had happened while they were out there. She could not pinpoint exactly what. But she could tell that something had changed.

He seemed different, but she had no clue what, how, or why. And he was gone before she could ask about it. Did she say or do something to upset him?

"Would you two stop arguing?" Jules could hear Grandma Esme's voice when she entered the house from the backdoor. She noticed that the horses were already back in the stable when they also returned. So, she could only assume that everyone was back inside the house.

Well, except for her husband, who seemed to have gone in a different direction when he left her at the barn's entrance after settling the horse back in its cage.

"Why don't you go back into the house? I will have to take care of something first." That was his last word before he turned and walked away.
