"What're you doing in this area?" The stern voice cut through the tension-filled air, causing the lady to jump in fright.
She spun around to face the source of the voice and found herself staring at the hooded young man from the village.
"W-Who... are you?" she stammered, her voice trembling with uncertainty as she took a cautious step back.
"What do you mean, 'who am I'?" he replied, shaking his head with a hint of amusement. "We met in the village, remember? You told me the direction of the Butterfly Gorge."
As his words sank in, a look of recognition flickered across her features, and she let out a slow breath, her fear gradually subsiding.
She scrutinized the hooded young man before her, searching for any sign of deceit or ulterior motive, but found none.
