I wasn't too surprised when Master Durgan was declared the new Archmage of the guild and the Academy. He deserved the job. It was nice to have someone friendly to me get the position.

I remember getting a pair of visitors from my village one day. The young couple said that they had moved into my old family home. Furthermore, they said they had found a small chest hidden up in the attic. Inside, I found an amulet and a small pouch of gold.
They didn't seem upset as they returned to the village. The gold had belonged to my parents, and now it belonged to me.

King Eric was 35 years old when people started getting nervous that there was no heir to the throne. It was obvious that the king needed to get married. I invited King Eric up to my tower for dinner so we could discuss the problem.
I wasn't surprised to hear that Eric had gained some peculiar tendencies from his mad father. He wasn't really interested in women; in fact, I think they scared him. It didn't matter—he'd have to get over it, as the kingdom needed a queen. There were a few suitable choices, but one lady stood out.
