King Eric knew that he would need my knowledge in order to be a good king. There was a lot to be done if we were going to save Daria. Unfortunately, he didn't go out of his way to make my job easier.
At first, it would seem that religion shouldn't be the domain of the government, but a happy, well-adjusted people does wonders for productivity and decreases civil unrest. Temples, shrines, priests, and religious knowledge was very important to the kingdom.

My first job was to speak with the guilds. They were Daria's strongest internal organizations, especially considering the state of the royal army and royal guard. I went to the Thieves Guild first becaues I needed to get them to stop their activities for a few years, just long enough to get Daria out of its economic slump.
It was a bold move, to take them out of the equation entirely. I didn't have a very strong army at my back yet, but I handpicked a small force and sent them into Tornassa with orders to kill on sight. I followed this up by having King Eric outlaw the Thieves Guild, making the organization illegal to be a part of.
