My Alchemy class involved a lot of memorization. I had to know what each ingredient did, how they reacted to each other, and what type of incantation would make each potion stable. There was a very difficult project that year.
It was so nice to have all of the special ingredients from the Academy at my disposal. I cut up the newt's eye very fine, then ground the unicorn horn into a sparkling powder and used a liberal amount of dragon tears. The potion I made to pass my project was quite useful.
