"Where are they?" Ed asks as he appears at your side.
The vampire doesn't answer. That's not the only thing she doesn't do. She doesn't blink. She doesn't breathe. The only thing moving are her eyes, flicking between the gathered wolves.
It doesn't matter.

"Marco!" Vicky barks through a wolfish maw, her voice rough and guttural. "Stay with the pack!"

Marco's howls break off and you hear a loud crash followed by barking and growling from the back of the building.
"Fuck," Ed mutters and takes off running.
"Ed," Vicky snarls and follows.
The vampire's eyes watch them... and flick back to you. "Oh dear."
It's all the warning you get before she flings herself at you.
