"For real?"
"I would appreciate it if you don't bite my head off, but other than that, yes."
"What if Jim comes in?"
"He won't."
You flex your muscles, shake out the ache in your shoulders, and rush forward. To your surprise, Vicky dances back and to the side, avoiding your lunge.
"Vampires who have survived for more than a decade only do so because they're smart," she informs you. "That means, they know not to engage with a werewolf face to face. Your teeth and claws are your greatest weapon, able to rend any vampire's flesh, so they're going to try to strike you in the back." She moves to the side.
You turn your body to face her. "So I won't let them get a shot at my back."
"Or," she suggests, "you could. It's a good way to lull them into a false sense of security, as long as you know how to move, grab, and force them into a better position."
"And how do you do that?" you ask.
"I use jujitsu," she answers.
You straighten in surprise. "You know jujitsu?"
"Passingly. I'm better at taekwondo, but that doesn't help us for what we're trying to achieve here."
"Oh... kay. Wow. I..."
She surges forward.
