It doesn't take long to find Vicky. She's in the kitchen, talking in hushed tones with Minjo and the Alpha. Any chance you had of hearing what they're saying is thwarted by JiAn and Nik, loudly arguing about Pokémon as they munch on their pancakes.
Izzie isn't there. Probably with her grandma.
"Happy new moon Gideon Mercer," the Alpha says as you approach.
"Happy new moon, Alpha."
"Are you going to join us for breakfast?" Minjo asks.
"Actually, I was looking for Vicky."
Vicky turns her head towards you, her eyes dark and intense. "What do you want?"
"Oh... nothing really..."
"Nothing?"
"I wanted to hang out," you admit, hating how lame it sounds.
Minjo and the Alpha quickly busy themselves in a poorly executed attempt to appear like they aren't listening.
"I'm going to the gym," Vicky informs you.
"Ah. Okay then. I guess that means you probably don't want—"
"No," she interrupts you. "It'll be good for you to come along. I can show you a thing or two about fighting."
You can't help it. You frown. "I know how to fight."
She makes a noncommittal sound.
"Hey," you straighten. "I know how to use my claws."
Her expression doesn't change. But you see the light in her eye. Fierce... and somehow playful at the same time. "Wanna bet?"
The Alpha just manages to hide his laugh behind a cough.
