You've just taken a bite of pizza when the Alpha notices you.
He sends you a meaningful look before standing and making his way into the back room. You watch as Vicky, Ed, and Marco quietly excuse themselves and follow.
The Alpha's glare when you finally walk into the back room is the only response your insubordination receives.
The back room is a small, unfurnished space lit by a single buzzing light bulb and reeking of damp. Everyone is standing in a loose semi-circle, facing the Alpha, waiting for you.
You shuffle into line and the Alpha begins to speak.
"I'll make this quick. You made the right choice last night. The stray was dangerous. It was only a matter of time before she killed someone. I only hope she finds another path away from the moon before it's too late."
The Alpha looks at each of you in turn, his eyes dark pits in the dimly lit room.
"But your job is not done," he says. "It seems like she has been in the city for a long time. Wolves' scents are strong. Too strong for her to go undetected by chance for more than a day or two. That means she was hiding from us. I want to know where and how. If there are other strays, or some other threat here, we need to know."
"Yes, Alpha," you all murmur in messy chorus.
