Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 The Vampire

Slyonia realized much earlier on that they had lost Benji. Thinking back they probably should have kept a hand on each other, but they can't change the past. They can only hope that they both find their way out of this weird cave.

Slyonia's tunnel had light up a while back and they've been following the small crack of light ever since.

Slyonia comes upon another open room inside the mess of tunnels. They stop and stare in shock. 'It's not possible!' They think. The scratch marks and overgrowth and the structure in the middle of the room. This is the first room they found.

The only noticeable difference in this room is the open coffin in the middle of the room.

"You're not supposed to be here." Slyonia hears from behind them. They spin on their heels quickly, having much more grace in their movements than Benji.

Their eyes widen right before they open their mouth to speak when a silhouette of a person appears behind the person who was yelling at them. They stand speechless as the person's head quickly sinks into the man's neck.

They slowly back away as they watch the man's face pale, being drained of life. Slyonia is taking heavy breaths trying to keep their head level and keep their eyes on the person draining this man of his life source. They see the moment the man faints and goes limp in the person's arms.

The person's head detaches just as quickly from the man's neck as it had attached.

Red eyes connect with Slyonia's bright blue ones.

The body of the man is dropped to the floor, and the person steps over him with no effort.

Slyonia takes a step back as the person starts to close the difference between them.

The creature steps into the light and Slyonia can see all of her features clearly now. Curly brown hair falls down around her shoulders. With old dark clothes that look to be from the Victorian era. She's not skinny but not too big either, and her height is around the same as Slyonia's.

Her red eyes continue to shine in the light as she quickly approaches Slyonia. A hard surface connects with Slyonia's back, and they know now that they are doomed.

A hand hits the wall hard slightly cracking it next to Slyonia's head. Their eyes widen as they stare at the woman who has now completely invaded their space. Her head makes its way down to their neck, and they close their eyes tight waiting on the pain.

"Elf." Slyonia hears whispered into their neck. The air coming out of her mouth is cold against their skin. She retracts her head and looks at Slyonia tilting her head. "What happened to your little friend?" The woman asks Slyonia.

Slyonia noticed a few things while staring at her face.

The first thing is this woman is anything but human.

The second thing is her eyes and teeth which have confirmed her first thought. This woman is a vampire, and she has them pinned against the wall with nowhere to go.

The third thing is something that Slyonia will have to silently give Depuk shit for later. He is the reason she is awake. Depuk scraped his hand on her coffin, awakening her.

Slyonia takes a breath steadying their voice. "I don't know, we got split up earlier."

The woman retracts her head leaving her hand in place and starts to mumble to herself. Slyonia can just barely make out what is said, "That bastard that's where he scurried off to."

"Are you gonna kill me?" Slyonia chimes back in asking the vampire who currently still has them pinned against the wall.

"What?! Oh, no." She says as she retracts her hand. "Quite the opposite. I'd like to thank you and your friend. It's been a while since I've gotten to roam." She continues and finishes backing away giving Slyonia a smile.

Slyonia's face twists into a scowl as they look at the woman in front of them.

"I see. Well, I guess you're not on for pleasantries then." The woman begins once again after studying Slyonia's face. "Follow me, I'll show you out." The woman turns to leave down the same tunnel Slyonia just came from.

"Whatever," Slyonia grumbles as they follow behind the way too-cheery woman.
