~Just before Noir was teleported~
Turning to the leader I pushed the advantage and knocked him down before helping the others finish the battle. As I turned I saw the blurry figure of their team leader with a desperate face before a massive flash of light blocked my vision.
~
With a slight groan I picked myself off of the floor. Looking around I noticed the stark difference in design meaning I was either on another floor of the dungeon or I was teleported someplace different. However I highly doubted that I would be teleported out of the dungeon as only the academy could afford to waste long range teleportation crystals as they would cause even elite families and royalty to cry at their cost.
The room was well lit but all I could see was unsmoothened stone, it seemed to be a cave for this Dungeon floor.
My hair stood on end and alert signals were being sent from all over my body, Following my instincts I Instantly jumped back with a all the strength I could muster just before a massive crater formed where I was once standing.
Looking around I couldn't see anyone even with my night vision. Slowly walking backwards ever so cautiously as if one heavy footstep would send the cave crashing down on me I prepared to retre-
Another surge of instincts caused me to just barely duck as a gust of wind passed by my face and an object crushed the wall behind me causing it to crumble into itself slightly.
Whatever this was it wasn't something I could handle. It was playing with me, Toying with the false hope of survival. Soon all around me figures emerged all eerily calm but I knew why. I'm not sure I could even face the weakest one of them let alone all of them together.
Then out of nowhere another person appeared with a glaive in hand. They had the same dark appearance but held an greater presence than the others. Under the sleek black clothing muscles were glaringly evident. They definitely weren't a typical assassin with that build, strength and aura. Small chunks of rock were will stuck on the glaive as if their pure strength had superheated the stone into lava and it stuck to the galive.
This person was a monster in all rights. I doubt I would even be able to think of moving before I would be slaughtered. Looking around I couldn't see an escape not like I could escape from this perfectly laid trap anyways. The best thing that I can do is put up a little resistance before my demise.
At the least I won't let them get their hands on Mishia's weapons meaning I'll have to do this with just the cane and the Thorium sword on my person.
Putting my hand into my pocket I summoned a non-enchanted ring before slipping it on and taking my hand out of my pocket before pulling the sword out of my storage. This way they would think I sneaked a storage ring into the competition and that I don't have the ability to access my storage without one.
Afterwards I threw the ring in the air and cut it in half. When a storage device is destroyed the items disappear with it. It is well known and is perfect for destroying evidence however most rings have a spell that stops items being put inside and destroyed as a safety measure just incase it breaks in a battle, obviously my inventory is an exception since it uses space magic itself to create a pocket space that grows with mana over time.
Lowering my centre of gravity I rested the sword on my back while I held the cane and applied aura extending the shaft and elongating the grip to create a makeshift scythe that was sturdier than the one I made in the strength test. I had learnt from my last mistakes to say the least however i couldn't use my gimmicks given the interference from the artifact the academy used was still blocking it from activating.
The person only seemed to smirk before stepping forwards while the others formed a makeshift arena with their bodies.
Not giving it another thought I leaned forwards until I felt the weightlessness of falling before enhancing my legs with mana and aura tearing some tendons as I kicked off the ground at record speed, however as I swung my cane as a feint and brought the sword down as my actual attack the person simply flicked the sword sending my flying as my grip never let go before I was kicked into the ground.
Standing back up I looked at my 'opponent' before taking note of my injuries.
Three cracked ribs a pulled ligament and a cracked bone in my arm. Estimation for repair about 5 minutes with my current regeneration speed.
Casting a shadow spell a spike appeared behind the person however they didn't even bother moving allowing the attack to hit their leg however not even a scratch was left behind. Their body was akin to Tier-III armour if it could shrug off my Low-Tier-II spell when it was enhanced by the darkness.
Nevertheless I pushed in swinging my cane with all my might and calling upon my constellation magic to create an Low Tier-I AOE destruction spell that filled the arena however it had little effect just burning parts of their clothes.
Instantly they appeared Infront of me again before they kicked my knee cap sending it in the wrong direction, the flesh tearing as the bones and shards of my kneecap exited the confines of my body before they twisted my arm holding the sword tearing the flesh away from the muscle like it was a sock exposing my tensed muscle fibres.
Not giving up I swung the scythe one last time with everything even placing the mana draining space elements on the tip of the aura blade. Using a small boost of magic Iat the same instant they slashed down at me I hoped to gain an advantage but I was too desperate. Their glave appeared from seemingly nowhere in my eyes severing the cane into two pieces. I grabbed both halves of the cane before bringing them down into my opponent while they were still mid swing, I managed to hit their shoulders the blade and tip of the cane digging into flesh of their shoulders before they kicked me in the side.
Using their kick as a fulcrum to Instantly leap back I prepared multiple spells as I looked at the person. I couldn't see their face but their eyes screamed bloody murder. Soon the purple aura tipped cane fell out of the wound on their own and a few drops of blood fell to the ground. The smell alone was delectible meaning they were of an extremely high rank maybe A+ or S-.
"You fucker!"
Instantly my vision blurred as I was blasted around the room like a pinball. Each hit sent me into one of the spectators of our fight before they would throw me back into the fray, My bones were smashed to dust in some areas while other bones snapped and crushed under the pressure before sticking out of the skin that I had left on my body.
My flesh was torn off slowly by the friction exposing my muscles and organs making me look like an anatomy book diagram. The only thing keeping me alive was the fact that I had drank heaps of blood before the test however even with that I could feel my life dwindling.
However before I could die I heard a voice deep and commanding.
"Stop"
Instantly my body was ragdolled by the remaining force my breathing was laboured, Fragments of bone had turned into a razor that shredded my lungs, Each breath was like sandpaper as my own blood pooled into my lungs.
"Remember his lordship wants them alive. Take them to the chamber."
Throwing a crystal to the figure we were instantly teleported to a dark room made of stone and mana enhanced metals. Soon the person left the room and shut the door leaving me there. Blood pooled beneath me as I threw up chunks of stomach lining and bile. I could feel the pain in every part of my body. The pain was nothing like I ever felt before even when I died it was probably more painful however since at a certain threshold my body would shut down the pain would fade almost immediately but my body was still conscious even after all it had faced.
Slowly my thoughts were getting murky and I could feel myself fading.
"I'm sorry Mishia I've failed. I won't be able to leave a peaceful life after all. Forgive me.
*Heave *heave* F..uc-"
"'Interesting. I see why you are so coveted."
The hulking figure moved from the corner of the room dousing Noir in a potion that healed him just enough for him to remain alive before leaving the room allowing the silence of shallow breathing to be the only sound in the room.
