Parker can't stop thinking about Luca as Eddie snoozes next to her. Since approximately three years ago, they have shared a room.
Ever since Luca first encountered Eddie, he has been drawn to her. He is an Italian god after all. a body. its accent. Eddie, though, was aware that she had no chance. You can call Luciano Morreti a playboy or a man whore if you wish. Eddie didn't want to risk breaking her heart because she knew they would get along better as friends and roommates.
His eyes flutter open as Parker's body creeps closer to him, and she fixes her attention on his face.
"Good morning, beautiful."
"Morning." Eddie says while grinning. Parker is a trustworthy individual who also exudes charm. He's ideal for her. a suitable match.
On the nightstand, Eddie's phone chirps.
You understand that, I'll see what I can get for breakfast. Parker tells her, kissing her on the forehead before leaving her to take her phone call.
In her ear, Eddie places the phone.
"Bella!"
"Marc?"
"Si beautiful. Greetings on this wonderful morning.
"I'm good. What's going on with you?
Just checking in on my favorite chick, nothing else.
"No one is better than you, mi amore."
"Do you have a reason for calling?"
"Someone is irritable. Are you alone, Miss Jenkins?
Parker is present, and I prefer not to leave him with our brother.
"This wouldn't be an issue if you dated Luca."
"Marc! then you, then your mother! Luca never dates. If he did, he most definitely would not date me. Can we discuss this later?
Edward, I'm sorry.
"Don't stress over it. Okay, I'll call you later. Eddie comments as she exits her bedroom.
"Ciao, Bella."
"Ciao."
Parker is seated close to the kitchen bench where Eddie places her phone. Luca is preparing breakfast with his back to them.
Listen to you while you speak Italian. Parker claims to have poked her with his elbow.
"I had to gain some knowledge. It was a challenge I could never fathom living with brothers who spoke it all the time.
"That was the key point, cara." As he turned to face her, Luca said.
"Morning." He kisses her cheek while stooping over the kitchen island.
Eddie tries valiantly to conceal her blush from Parker by saying, "Morning."
Marc, was that you? Luca queries before returning to the food.
Indeed, he was merely checking in.
The three people eat in silence as Luca serves them bacon and eggs.
I had to leave. Parker mentions putting his dish in the sink while standing up.
"Why? It is the weekend. I believed that we could hang out.
The "study group." Parker responds swiftly. He bends in and kisses Eddie on the lips. "Sorry. Later, I'll text you.
"Okay. Okay, bye. Eddie argues that Parker has already left the building.
Eddie turns to face Luca again. "I suppose you'll run into Kate."
I thought I told you that we were through.
"Luca, you and Kate are never really done together. Did she not invite you to meet her today?
Doesn't imply that I will.
"Okay, whatever," Eddie moves to the sink after gathering their plates.
She puts them in the dishwasher after giving them a thorough rinse.
You want to visit Queens, right?
That would take about four hours, Luke.
"We're staying the night and returning tomorrow night. We have everything for weekend.
"We just passed by."
"So? Your love from my parents.
Eddie grins and replies, "That's true.
"So, yeah?"
"Okay, sure."
"Yes." Luca swings her around while holding Eddie in his arms.
"What the hell are you doing, you nutjob! Lay me down, and I'll start packing.
Eddie is helped back to her feet by Luca as she enters her room after laughing. Her phone buzzes as she packs her weekend items.
PARKER
9.43am: Sadly, I was unable to hang out today. Obtain tonight?
EDDISON
9.44am: No, I'm sorry. I'm spending the weekend in New York.
PARKER
9.44 a.m.: Ever?
EDDISON
9.45am: because I had a free weekend and you had study group.
PARKER (9:46 a.m.) With whom are you traveling?
EDDISON
9.46 a.m.: The roommate. staying in his parents' home.
PARKER (9:47 a.m.): I suppose have fun. When you arrive, call.
9.48 a.m. EDDISON: Will do xx
After changing, Eddie completes his packing some fifteen minutes later. She steps outside and into the living room. She is not anticipating Luca's return any time soon because she is aware that he went out to get refreshments for the journey. Eddison screams and looks at the coffee table in shock.
Her favorite flowers, pale pink peonies, are arranged in a vase there.
A little pink card was placed next to them. that says;
For my lovely roommate, gorgeous flowers.
Only the best will do for you.
It is always and forever my love.
X Luciano
Nobody knows her better than Luca. Despite her limited understanding of Italian, she is aware that "mio amore" means "my love."
Eddie notices tears starting to gather in the corners of her eyes but hastily blinks them away. As the entrance swings wide, she grinned while looking down at the card. When Eddie glances up, Luca is grinning at her.
"You ready, cara?"
Eddie nods, concerned that she won't be able to speak. Luca seizes the bag from her grasp. He takes her left hand in his right and holds it in his left. As they leave their townhouse, he takes her to his car.
The first portion of the drive is spent in silence between the two until Eddie turns to face Luca.
"I'm grateful for the flowers,"
"Thank you very much." Luca responds, briefly grinning down at her.
In the passenger seat, Eddie reclines and crosses her legs beneath her. Eddie notices her breathing stop as Luca moves his hand to rest on her thigh. Eddie cannot help but notice how at ease things are with Luca as he uses his finger to trace circles on her leg.
"What a shock!" When Maria Morreti answers the door and sees her son and his roommate standing on the porch, she is startled.
"Hello, Mama. Can we come for the weekend, please?
"Sure, sure, sure. Anytime is fine with me. Maria gives them both a hug. I'll prepare a substantial meal tonight.
Maria, you don't have to exert yourself fully. We might prepare food for you.
*False, cara. My responsibility is to look after my children. What are your plans for the day? There are only three.
"Perhaps we could visit the city?" Eddie looks at Luca and asks.
I'll take you shopping with Luca!" Maria extends.
Oh crap, I'm short on cash. This week, I didn't work so I could study.
"Luca will cover it."
What will Luca do? Luca looks to his mother and asks.
"Luciano, the least you can do is take Eddison shopping with the monthly allowance your father gives you—it's enough to buy a small country!"
Luca rolls his eyes, giving the back of the skull a jolt.
"Ok, ok. Eddie, get to it.

After taking the train, the two arrive on Fifth Avenue in the heart of New York City.
Luke, this is really excessive. There must be a cheaper street somewhere.
"Mom Eddie was correct. Let me finish this.
I adore the fact that despite their enormous wealth, your parents continue to reside in a Queens home of typical size.
"Pa thinks it reminds him of his origins. Dad began Sparrow Industries in the basement, albeit it may now be worth millions.
Will Marc succeed your father?
That is the strategy. After all, he is the one with experience in business and accounting. He is also familiar with the family company. Eddie's mouth drops as Luca comes to a stop in front of Tiffany & Co. "Let's enter.
Eddie, "No... come on, it can be your Christmas present."
"Luciano.."
"Don't argue!"
Eddie receives a traditional Tiffany & Co. sterling silver necklace from Luca.
He insists on putting it on Eddie right away even after the salesperson asks if she would like it wrapped.
"Luca, you said to wrap the Christmas present and place it beneath the tree.
"Cara, I want you to wear it right away."
I said, "Thank you." Before they leave the shop together, she gives him a cheek kiss.
Eddie's phone starts to ring as they continue to walk up Fifth Avenue. She takes it out of her pocket and presses it against her ear.
"Hello?"
"Eddie. Parker is here. Are you okay? You never made a call.
Oops, Parker I apologize. I totally missed it. We arrived here about an hour and a half ago, and I'm good. The subway took us into the city.
Please FaceTime. I'd like to know where you are.
Parker's face shows on Eddie's phone screen after she taps the FaceTime button. Luca approaches her while gazing at the television.
Hello, babe. Hello, Luca.
"Parker."
"I hope studying is ok." Eddie claims. "Fifth Avenue is where we are."
Eddie receives a smile from Parker, who then averts his gaze to the television.
I asked, "Since when do you wear a necklace?"
