Hugo looking at the small bleeding child glanced at the other monsters who were walking closer to it. The child was shivering but still kept an angry look on his face.
'What are you doing?! Run!'
"Rawrrr!"
The child was cornered.
'Don't tell me the child can't move? Is it due to the child's injury?.. What do I do?'
Hugo was thinking of leaving the child, he couldn't risk his position being found out. He had a mission to do, he had to look for his child and ask the wolf tribe for help.
Hugo had never met them face-to-face and never had a conversation with them. It was because Hugo was scared, he never knew of them beforehand especially because of the prowess of the wolf tribe.
They were strong and fast, they were also protected by the goddess. It was enough to scare Hugo whose pact is with a weak prey rabbit.
Hugo looking at the child getting surrounded slowly tried to leave while the monsters were busy with the child.
"Rawrrr!"
Hugo grits his teeth and jumped down. Holding his knife, Hugo knew he couldn't beat four at once as such the only thing he could do was escape with the child.
As soon as Hugo jumped down, Hugo glanced at an open area to which he could run.
Hugo using his speed immediately rushed forward, as soon as he entered the gap, Hugo held the small child in his embrace and run with all his might.
The child who was being carried glanced at the person who carried him.
Meanwhile, Hugo was slowly breathing for more air.
'What the heck is up with this child? He's freaking heavy!'
After running nonstop for one hour, Hugo found a small cave. Hugo with his last remaining strength entered the cave and slumped to the ground.
"Huff, huff. Kid what have you been eating? Your too heavy.."
The child who was looking at Hugo crouched down and poked his face.
"Mr…thank you for saving me…"
Hugo glanced at the small child.
"No worries kid, by the way… what's your name? Why are you inside the forest and wounded?"
"Aaron, my name is Aaron….I…I got lost while picking some berries…"
"Oh.."
Hugo sat down looking at the ragged child. Hugo ripped one of his clothes and bandaged the wound of the small child.
"I was shocked seeing a young child in the forest, by the way….What tribe are you from?"
It was clear that the child was different. This made Hugo wonder if there is another tribe living in the forest with the same characteristics as the child.
"Grizzly. My tribe is called the Grizzly Tribe.."
"Grizzly? Y-You mean a bear?!"
Aaron nodded his head.
"Oh, so there's another tribe living in the forest. Child, can you tell me where you live? My tribe is currently suffering and maybe your grizzly tribe can help me!"
"I...don't know where my home is….I got lost"
"Oh…"
….
Bria was helping the other Beastmen with the preparations. She had also explained to them beforehand the might of the monsters.
Two days has passed already and everyone was getting ready to leave. Many of the females said their goodbyes to their mates.
Callidus would also follow them so he could be a support, and a healer in case one of them has a huge wound.
After saying their goodbyes the men have left, holding their weapons and necessities.
Meanwhile, a small boy was holding his axe and had made a small basket filled with food.
"Alright, all done!"
Primo would follow the Beastmen secretly.
"No way would I let them all show off"
"Oi.."
Primo flinched and glanced at Terzo who was holding his basket.
"You…What are you doing here?"
"I'm coming with you.."
"No your not.."
"Yes, I am.."
Primo looking at the smile on Terzo's face sighed.
"Fine but don't show off too much, remember you're an extra, a sidekick alright?"
"Yeah, sure.."
Terzo rolled his eyes.
"Aha, I know you two would do this!"
Pan with an angry look pointed at the two.
"You're coming as well, Pan?"
"W-What? No! I came here to scold you!"
"Then what with that small basket?"
Terzo pointed at the basket.
Pan was holding his own basket.
"Fine…Can I come too?"
"Sure you can, right Primo?"
"This was supposed to be my trip! Why are you two coming? Urghhh fine! But remember you two are goddamn extras! Don't even think of outshining me!"
"Ok…"
As the three started to run to the forest, their small adventure started!
The three began to closely follow the adult Beastmen. Each of them had different motives.
Primo wanted to test his new prowess, and even show off to the others that he is much stronger.
Pan in truth didn't want to join his two brothers, but after learning that they are rescuing and helping the Rabbit race, Pan felt a sense of duty! He wanted to help save the rabbit race.
Meanwhile, Terzo was just following so he could test his new skills but mostly because Diabo told him to do so.
….
"Dux we should rest up, we have been moving straight for 3 hours now many of the warriors are tired."
Dux looking at everyone who was having trouble breathing nodded his head.
"Alright let's rest up for now"
Meanwhile, the three children all slumped to the ground. With their low stamina, they got separated from the fast-moving adults.
"Umm Primo what do we do? Were lost!"
"Shut up will ya?! We wouldn't have been lost if you two just started to walk faster!"
"Oh so it's our fault, if I remember it you were the one who told us to rest a few minutes ago before we got separated from the adults!.."
"Urghhh!!"
The three got lost inside the vast forest.
"Let's get to higher ground! Maybe we can see them from up above?"
"That's a good idea, Pan!"
The three children climbed the tall tree, upon reaching the top part. The three narrowed their eyes looking for any signs of the adult beasts.
"I don't see them.."
"Me neither…"
The three climbed down, and as soon as they climbed down though they heard a startled voice. The three boys glanced at a small rabbit Beastmen who looked to be the same age as them.
"Eikkkkkk don't kill me please!"
"Who are you supposed to be?"
"Primo I think he is a rabbit Beastmen!"
The three glanced at the small rabbit Beastmen with interest.
"Hello my name is Pan, these two are my brothers. The one with a scowl is Primo, and this one is Terzo. We three come from the wolf Beastmen tribe, and we are here to help your tribe! Currently, my father and the rest of our warriors in our village are looking for you guys. "
"T-Then are you supposed to be the one who would help us?"
"Yes, we are!"
"Oh...Um"
The rabbit Beastmen slowly stood up. He couldn't sense any hatred or negative energy from the three boys in front of him.
"My name is Igyeo…Please hurry!"
Igyeo guided the three into a small cave. Inside the cave were numerous warriors currently battling through death. They had massive wounds inflicted on their bodies, and many of the women and children were in rags.
"This is…"
"Please save my father and everyone! Please I beg of you!"
Igyeo bowed his head.
"Many of the warriors are battling death, and they have massive wounds on their bodies so please save them!"
Pan looking at the massive pain the rabbit Beastmen were currently facing felt pity. Looking at the women and children in rags, Pan patted Igyeo on the shoulder.
"Don't worry, we will save them!"
Primo dragged Pan away from the hopeful Igyeo.
"What are you saying? Save them? Are you crazy Pan? We could save them if Uncle Callidus was here, but we are no healers, you saw the wounds we can't save them!"
"I can!"
Pan stretched out his hand and a green aura started to radiate on his hands.
"This gift of the goddess I will use it to save them!"
Pan shrugged Primo's hand away, he walked closer to one of the rabbit warriors breathing heavily on the ground. The warrior had numerous wounds on his body.
Pan pressed both his hands on the rabbit warrior's stomach and suddenly the wounds started to heal at a miraculous rate.
After healing one of the rabbits, Pan continued with all his might.
Primo and Terzo looking at their brother who was busily helping the rabbit beast tribe looked at one another and nodded their head.
Terzo with Igyeo helped the other Beastmen who were wounded and even tended to some of the women and children. Meanwhile Primo was hunting food for the small children to eat.
"Tch if I don't do anything, Pan will outshine me."
With a smile, Primo was off to hunt for food.
There were over 25 Beastmen who were inside the cave. 15 were rabbit-Beastmen warriors who had bruises all over their bodies.
Meanwhile, the five were beastwomen who were pregnant. And the rest were hungry children.
The women couldn't move since they were pregnant and since the males were injured they also couldn't move, meanwhile, the children couldn't hunt since they weren't that strong.
