Miss Dorian Dandelion signalled for the magic practice 'Riding The Broom' to begin.
"Now that you've all picked a broom, the next thing is to fly it," she said.
Miss Dorian picked one of these long wooden brooms that was, on the grassy ground, next to her.
She slanted it forward, stepped on it with a foot and swung the wand in her hand, sprinkling particles of magical energy on the broom, magicking it.
"Ascensio," Miss Dorian said softly, focusing the falling particles on the broom.
As the particles made contact with the long piece of wood and some settling on it, Miss Dorian started to levitate on the broom after having magicked it.
She rose from the ground while standing on the broom until she was afloat in midair.
"Wooow!" some of her students exclaimed, impressed by her skill at riding it.
Almost all of them were amazed by the sight of the flying magic broom and its rider.
Miss Dorian glided over and around them at varying speeds, making them turn around to capture the moment with their eyes.
She flew around for a few minutes and stopped, hovering above them, where they could all see her.
"It's that simple. First, you magick your brooms. Then, you cast the spell with the magic word 'Ascensio'. That's what I want every one of you to do," she instructed, descending to the ground and alighting from her magic broom.
"I'm sure it's not that straightforward," Sheila muttered under her breath.
"It's actually easier than she makes it sound once you figure it out," Elizabeth whispered behind Sheila.
The young mistress of the Osvenor Family looked around, searching for her friend, who had rushed to relieve himself but Dickens was not yet back.
She scoffed. "Where in heaven's name did Dee go this time?"
...
...
...
James heaved a sigh of relief, thankful that Dickens had not seen the Enchantress. If he had, then that would have been a problem.
A bloody one since he would have to take care of his fellow scholar to get rid of the evidence.
He clutched the edges of the porcelain sink, peering deep into his reflection and brooding about the matter concerning White.
James knew that he needed to act fast.
Cream Pye's presence was not a friendly visit, rather it was a warning. A warning that he was thankful for.
Lust Demons like himself did not usually get the privilege of a second chance with the Enchantress but for reasons best known to Cream Pye, she pardoned James' delay and spared him more time.
"Was it because of the small piece of information I had given her?" he wondered.
He shook his head as if shaking off the thought.
"No. That's not why. Whatever it was saved me and I need to act fast."
He gritted his teeth and with a clenched fist, he swung his arm forward to punch the mirror but paused midway.
James realised that it would be an unnecessary action and he would have to pay for the damage one way or another.
...
...
...
"Ah!" I yelled, alerting everyone of my presence.
I did that intentionally while rubbing my stomach and grinning. That way they would really believe I went to take a dump.
I walked casually to where I was standing with Liz earlier, only then did I realise that they had started practice.
Without me?!
I hurried to my spot and took up the remaining broom that was apparently left for me.
Elizabeth glided to where I was standing, hovering over me.
"Took you long enough," she said, looking down at me as she flew past again.
I didn't understand what was going on because just a handful of my classmates were flying on their brooms and the rest struggled to get theirs to even float.
"Ascensio!" one shouted.
"Ascensio!"
Even Gregory conjured more sweat on his face than he did mana for his spell.
"Ascensio!"
Two things were common here — the same spell and the same frustration existed among the students who had it rough with the brooms.
The only other person who had succeeded in flying the broom in the past few minutes that I arrived was Bolzen.
I watched Bolzen flick his wand with confidence, mixed with a bit of arrogance, and an incantation 'Ascensio'.
Climbing his broom, he lifted off the ground gently. He couldn't help but smile as the wind toused his sky-blue hair.
Bolzen certainly made a fuss about his newest achievement, rubbing it in mine and Rordon's faces.
Rordon clenched his fist so tight that I could sense the pain that the poor broom, trapped in his palms, felt.
A loud knock resounded through the entire field.
"Owwww."
A cry of pain reverberated afterwards.
...
...
...
A hot beaming red bump formed on my head as I rubbed it to numb the pain.
The knock was heavy and painful, nearly enough to distort a person's normal skull structure.
"What the he—," I turned, about to shout when I saw Miss Double D's figure right there.
She was standing behind me.
I turned so fast that I almost shoved my face in between her large inviting 34DD breasts.
Oh yes, those bazongas were worth giving so many details about.
I stared at those pair of enticing bosoms shamelessly as they bounced right in front of me.
For a moment, I had forgotten about the pain on my head and even the fact that it was Miss Double D's breast that I was gaping at.
"What do you think you are doing, Nuttinson!" she yelled.
"Don't even think you can get cocky because you awakened an arcane magic!"
As she raged, her boobs bounced even more, shaking so much that you would think her black turtleneck top would tear apart.
"And you, Sheila! Maintain your balance!" she called out to Sheila who was only trying to get a hang of flying the broom.
I stepped back, laughed nervously and said, "Nothing. I'm not doing anything, Miss Dou—Miss Dorian."
Miss Double D hissed and walked away from me. The look on her face was one of disappointment, for which I didn't know why.
Perhaps, she had expected more of her students to grasp the fundamentals of mana control and accomplish such a simple task of flying a broom in no time.
"You're quite good at this, Liz," I said, seeing Liz fly towards me after the teacher had left.
"Yeah. I used to ride brooms a lot with my big brother, Michael, whenever he came home for his breaks."
"Is that so?" I muttered.
Elizabeth came down from her flying broom, walking towards me and grabbing onto mine like she wanted to help me ride it.
"Don't worry, Liz," I said.
I bent and took up my broom and with a cocky smile on my face, I looked around and then fixed my gaze on Miss Double D.
"... I got this."
