There it was, right in front of the Nuttinson mansion was parked my beautiful lady — the only lady I understood and will fawn over anytime I see her.
My alluring black limousine — Pegasus.
Pegasus ousted an aura of sophistication and opulence. She commanded attention and wreaked necks with its sleek and imposing presence, and an obsidian exterior that shimmered under sunlight, reflecting the sun's rays like a mirror.
Her body was smooth as silk and whittled to perfection, emphasizing its elongated form that gave a hint of the luxury within.
"Good morning, young master Dickens."
"Huh? I was just fawning over Pegasus, wasn't I?"
I turned to Liz and she was glaring at me with a weird look on her face, certainly, I was fawning over the black beauty of Pegasus again. The same expression was on my driver, Mr. Navas' face.
How dare you, Mr. Navas? To interrupt me as I'm lushing over my lady Pegasus.
Tch! Humans can be so insolent.
"Good morning, young master Dickens."
I heard you the first time, Mr. Navas.
Well, that's what was in my head but it never got to escape out of my lips.
I smiled at Mr. Navas who was watching me from the rearview mirror.
"Good morning, Mr. Navas?"
Did I mean it? Hell no! Not when he cut my intimate moment with Pegasus short.
"Good morning, Ms. Elizabeth."
Moved on already, huh, Mr. Navas? Seeing how quick he was to talk to Liz, I couldn't help but think that Mr. Navas did not think anything about how he had hurt me just now.
Tch! The insolence.
Liz smiled back at him, her cheeks puffing a little bit and flushing.
"Good morning, Mr. Navas. How was your night?"
"Splendid, miss. Yours?"
"It was good, a bit cold but good. Thanks, Mr. Navas."
A bit cold, huh? You should've called me to warm your up, Liz. You know I would.
The longer these two acted mushy with each other, the more I cringed. It was irksome to watch Mr. Navas in his friendly mood.
I am not taking the blame for how I feel though. After all, it's expected that when you're used to a particular personality of a person, being exposed to their other personalities conceives an awkward situation.
This man, Mr. Navas, spent the two-thirds of my current life serving me one punishment or the other under my father's command.
How could I ever see him as a friendly person?
Liz wouldn't understand and of course, she'd smile back.
I let out a heavy sigh, disappointed in the two of them.
"To the academy, Mr. Navas."
"Of course, young master. Of course."
He wound up a tinted glass inside the car and shut us off from him.

One peculiar event in my life was my constant reincarnation. I've reincarnated so much and as different beings that I have lost count.
Usually, when I don't like the world or the form I take...
I just die...
And reincarnate again.
This time, I was born into this world as the first son of the Nuttinson family.
A splendid start, I must say, for my old ass really but then, there was my struggle with the opposite gender.
That aside, I decided to remain in this world and my current form as Dickens Nuttinson because of a unique energy that I sensed in the atmosphere of this world when I was born.
Not many of the people know about it and that's so sad.
I relished the feel of this energy so much that it convinced me to stay... maybe a few years before I reincarnate again.
They gave that energy a fascinating name: Mana.
And the practice of mana, they called it Magic.
Cool names, indeed. I loved them.
I understood this energy with little to no effort after coming in contact with it but my knowledge was going to live on with me alone.
It would certainly be weird if I were to explicitly explain mana, its mechanisms and applications at the age of nineteen and as a scholar.
I might even win the Magic Award of the Century but I did not need that sort of attention.
That is where the Zenith Academy For Warlocks & Witches came in.
I needed a solid explanation as to why I know what I know about mana and magic.

Like I already said, I don't enjoy my time at the academy but I do enjoy the ride getting there.
Sitting close to one of the windows of Pegasus and peering into the beautiful sight afforded me by my lovely city — the Silver City.
The Silver City was the second richest city in the Gems Kingdom, second only to the Golden City in the far west.
I will tell you about the Silver City later, Mr. Navas is already approaching the giant gates of the Zenith Academy For Warlocks & Witches.
I did tell you guys that the old man is insolent. Tsk, now you can see it for yourselves.
Pfft! There it is... those damned iron gates opened the path into the academy.
The bane of my majestic existence.
Beyond those gates lurked the next three hundred and sixty-five days of misery, mostly in the form of paper, ink and grades.
I sighed and hissed so much from even thinking about it.
Who would create such a vile system of learning? Boring, yet so tasking that my brain seethes at the thought of it.
Well, time to chant my mantra before I waltz into a hall with many doomed scholars like myself.
"You got this, Dickens. You can do it. It's just one year, just another 365 days. You've lived over ten thousand years, you've lived through hundreds of thousands of days. This is nothing."
Unfortunately, it was something.
It was something they called a school year, with annoying children that they called semesters.
Tch! I'm so sad right now.
...
...
...
Mr. Navas slowed down at the gates to pick up a tag of identification.
"Welcome to Zenith Academy For Warlocks & Witches," the security guard said with a feigned grin on his face.
"You didn't have to say the full name, you know," I thought to myself as I looked at Liz, who I'm sure thought the same.
"Thank you," Mr. Navas said, taking the red tag plate.
"You're welcome."
Mr. Navas nodded and drove into the academy's premises, shaking his head in disappointment at the just concluded short but exhausting conversation with the guard.
Pegasus came to a stop almost immediately after and the tinted glass that separated us from the driver wound down, and Mr. Navas turned his head our way.
"We're here, young master Dickens and the lovely Miss Elizabeth."
Liz chuckled.
What in the world was so funny, Liz?
I meant that. If you could see my face right now, it was straighter than a rule.
I furrowed my eyes in disappointment as I watched them do this all over again.
Exhausted already even before my day starts, I alighted from Pegasus and the first thing I saw was something I did not want to see again.
But that may require another reincarnation cycle. It was truly exhausting.
As he came down from the pitch black ride of mine, I looked onwards and the first thing I saw was a marquee that read...
"Zenith Academy For Warlocks & Witches."
