While looking at the hover-shoes he was currently wearing, he began to think about how he could optimize it to its highest while also minimizing the explosion rate, which led him to where he currently was- poking it with a screwdriver.
Midoriya was pulled from his thoughts when he heard the classroom door slide open revealing a short girl with large eyes, a larger-than-average mouth, and dark green hair fashioned into an ornate bow that extended past her hips. Her hands were also larger than average, but instead of appearing grotesque her general appearance was fairly cute.
When she noticed him her eyes showed some surprise before touching her lips with one of her oversized fingers before commenting "I didn't expect anyone to arrive this early, ribbit. I was so worried that I would arrive late that I came a full hour early. I'm Tsuyu by the way. Tsuyu Asuyi."
Recovering from his internal musing, Izuku adopted a sincere smile before raising his hand and waving lightly as he replied "I'm Izuku Midoriya, it's a pleasure to meet you, Asuyi-chan."
Shaking her head Asuyi said "Just call me Tsuyu. You're the first person I've met since becoming a student at U.A., so I would like us to be friends, ribbit."
Smiling more, Izuku replied, "I'd love that, Tsuyu. Also feel free to call me Izuku" Seemingly satisfied with his response she also smiled a bit more "Okay, Izuku." She replied before looking around for her desk number. There was still a total of fifty minutes before class started so she figured she could chat a little once she had settled in her desk.
Even though he knew her from the manga and anime it was still a different thing seeing her as a living and breathing person.
Realizing her intentions, Midoriya made his way over to her desk when she found it. Sitting at the desk beside her, he turned his head to meet her then he asked "Not to sound rude, but does your quirk have anything to do with frogs? It's not to sound insulting, but that's the feeling you gave me when I saw you. Also, your verbal tick seemed to suggest I'm right."
Instead of answering directly, she caught him off guard by asking him a question of her own "If you had to say, what kind of frog do you think I resemble?"
Though he was somewhat taken by surprise due to her reply, he didn't hesitate to reply "A tree frog…?" in a probing tone.
Adopting a grin, Tsuyu nodded and said, "You're right my quirk is related to frogs, ribbit. What about you Izuku-Chan?"
Ignoring the 'Chan' suffix that Tsuyu added to his name, he explained "My quirks are a bit complicated but my first quirk is a package quirk that affects my intelligence, while my second quirk allows me to attract or repel anything and anyone"
She blinked in surprise before remarking "Whoa, two quirks? That's great" Then it hit her when she heard about his first quirk "I've never heard of a package quirk before what does it do?" she asked with genuine curiosity. "Well for starters a package quirk is a quirk made up of multiple quirks that function similarly but are still different on their own. My package quirk has to do with intelligence I use it to make my own gadgets and a few other things like this I'm still liking for a few crystals to power this one." He replied while bringing out a deactivated lightsaber. Activating it, it glowed with a pure white light "this one currently uses a diamond shard hence the white it gives off, but if it was an obsidian shard it'll give off black instead" he added as he deactivated the light saber
"Sounds strong," Tsuyu remarked "My quirk only lets me do things a frog can do, ribbit. I'm confident in my legs and tongue, but my other abilities are lackluster" "Your tongue?" Izuku asked, fully aware that Tsuyu could extend her tongue to roughly about twenty-five meters. After all, she's one of his waifu.
Though it was a bit embarrassing, Tsuyu stretched her tongue till it dangled around her shin, revealing, she began "I can extend my tongue to around twenty-five meters to grab hold of objects and people, ribbit. If I try hard enough, I can lift around three hundred and fifty kilograms"
Blinking a few times, Izuku parroted "Three hundred and fifty kilos? Really? That's amazing Tsuyu. If you ever need anything hero-related you could ask me"
Not being accustomed to praise outside her family, a faint blush colored her cheeks as she quickly retracted her tongue. Unlike the original Izuku, the current one puts a lot of effort into his looks. He kept his hair a bit short and faded on the sides and back, leaving mostly the top uncut but the most notable difference was his confidence hence why the current Midoriya gave off a more mature and approachable vibe.
Finding Tsuyu's reaction amusing he teased "I wasn't aware frogs could blush. You're going to be popular once you become a hero."
Frowning slightly, she took on a scolding tone as she said, "It's not nice to tease people, Izuku-chan. Besides I might be frog-like but I'm still human. It is normal for me to blush, ribbit"
Izuku smiled wider as he replied "It suits you" causing her to blush even deeper.
Feeling that he was a little 'too' playful, she shortly entertained the thought of using her tongue to smack him, but she chose to brush her left bangs and then changed topics, focusing on topics like middle schools they came from, entrance exams, what kind of hero they wanted to be, and some of the gadgets he had made.
Though he enjoyed talking with her, he was relieved when other students began to show up half an hour before the bell. The first among them was the annoying kid with the speed quirk from the exam whose name was Ida, who seemed to be genuinely shocked to discover that others had come before him. He was also a bit scared to see Izuku in the same class as him. Meanwhile, Izuku just smiled with closed eyes and waved at him.
Shortly after, one of the people Izuku was genuinely interested in made her appearance, a tall, mature-looking girl with eyes that shimmered with intelligence and raven black hair tied up in a spiky ponytail.
Unknown to Izuku his gaze lasted more than he intended it to, causing Tsuyu to remark in a chiding tone "It isn't nice to stare, Izuku-chan." Since the classroom wasn't large and there were only four people present, the raven-haired girl noticed his gaze, a nice smile gracing her face as she crossed her hands in front of her sizable chest, gave a little bow, and said "Hello fellow students of class1-A. I'm Momo Yayorozu. I look forward to working with you all as we do our best to become great heroes."
Taking the opportunity, Ida rose from his seat before exclaiming, "What an amazing greeting! I, Tenya Ida, am also looking forward to working to working with everyone. May we all do our best to become great heroes!"
Seeing the intensity of Yayorozu and Ida's greetings, Tsuyu briefly thought of not getting up from her seat. Unfortunately, she already viewed Izuku as a friend, so she was left with no choice when he said, "I can tell you guys are morning people. However, it could lead to a misunderstanding if someone were to hear you shout. My name is Izuku Midoriya by the way, it's a pleasure to meet you, Yayorozu-san."
Picking off from Midoriyas words, Tsuyu gave a nod, and added, "And I'm Tsuyu Asuyi, ribbit."
After their greetings, the classroom began to fill up as the other students began to occupy their various seats, prompting Izuku to head back to his seat.
After a few greetings and curses from Ochaco and Bakugo separately, the class began to get a little too rowdy for him. He was almost tempted to temporarily nullify their quirk but was prevented when he heard a voice from behind the door. "if you're looking for friends go find them elsewhere" The source of the voice came from a man in a sleeping bag with a long untidy black hair and eyes that looked like he hadn't slept in days. He continued "This is the Department of Heroics" "it took you all eight seconds to quiet down," he said while climbing out of his sleeping bag "I'm your homeroom teacher, Shouta Aizawa pleasure meeting you," he said with a bored face. Then he stuck his hand into the sleeping bag before pulling out the school p.e uniform and handing it to the students "Wear these immediately and meet me on the p.e grounds for your wuirk apprehension test" he said before leaving most of the students confused but Izuku did as told without any questions, then he carried his bag, wore his hover-shoes before heading to the designated p.e ground.....
