The dead silence on her end even complicated the situation. Lixin only laughed, easing the atmosphere and then retreating to resting his head on the bed.
"Don't think too much of whatever he told you. And, no, I am not doubting you approached me for any motive neither is it that I am afraid you'd have chosen him if he had met you earlier than I had. And if you do choose him, I would just have to win your heart again!"
Mingxia blushed upon hearing those words. At last, it brought the desiring comfort she sought for. She lay in his embrace and kept a plain face, thinking of the other thing he said.
