"Oh, Grandma. I'm glad you could recognize this poor granddaughter. You're not brain-dead after all," Elena mocked. The resemblance she had with Elizabeth faltered as a suffocating look flashed through her eyes.
The old woman stepped back, that peculiar overwhelming feeling that she always felt when the older twin sister glared at her; she could feel it even more now that the girl was older. This was the only difference between the pair of monozygotic twins.
"What? You don't want to rush to your granddaughter anymore?" Elena flashed a lopsided grin, her eyes devoid of love for the people in her sight.
"Elena, where's Elizabeth?" The old woman lowered her voice; if she yelled at the crazy girl, she might end up in the hospital.
