She breathed in sharply and leaned on the wall outside the restaurant with her hand on her chest, panting heavily, she could only wonder where such confidence came from. Elizabeth has always been taught by her mother to respect the family no matter what but where has this so-called respect led them to? It was time for a change, however, changes don't come too suddenly, she still felt the pain of rejection.
Dragging herself up,she was about to leave when her name was called.
"Elizabeth!"
"Elizabeth! I'm so sorry, I really am so sorry. I never knew grandma and mum would say things like that, it's all my fault." Daphne held Elizabeth's hands in hers as she voiced out her words of pity.
"It's fine." Elizabeth resisted the urge to pull her hands away.
"I couldn't do anything, I'm so sorry." Daphne strongly apologized.
