She came back after a while in a yellow floral dress. She took quite a long time in her apartment, which Jayce had thought meant she decided not to go with him anymore.
He smiled at her as soon as she faced him. She raised a brow slightly before turning back to lock her apartment's door properly.
"Where are we going to?" she asked when he offered to hold her hand.
"You'd see," Jayce replied cheerfully. He knew that she intentionally avoided holding his hand, but it didn't make him sad in the slightest.
Elizabeth followed him without an iota of doubt. The ride to wherever they were supposed to go was quite long, but they arrived as soon as the long hand of the clock moved a little past 1:38.
