"No! Please let me try it again," a middle-aged man protested as he was being taken away by security.
However, he was not the only one expressing such frustration. Over the past couple of hours, more than half of the participants had failed to awaken their magic talent.
The once-blazing confidence and hope in their eyes had now turned to expressions of anxiety. Their dreams of awakening high-tier talents were shattered by the harsh reality, as only 2 out of every 5 people were fortunate enough to awaken their magic talent.
Desperation and frustration filled the air. Some participants even found themselves muttering under their breath, begging the gods for just a sliver of talent. Even if it meant awakening a common one.
Amidst this sea of mixed emotions, the hall remained bustling. Conversations continued to hum with hope, confidence, and disappointment. Friends congratulated one another on their successes, while others consoled those who didn't awaken their talent.
"Number 1034," the examiner called out.
Theo stepped forward, moving towards the evaluation counter. Placing his hand on the examination sphere, he watched as it began to emit a bright glow.
Above the evaluation counter, Theo's picture and his results were displayed on the screen.
"Look at that!" a man exclaimed, his finger pointing at the screen.
The sudden attention of everyone in the examination hall was drawn to the display. As the details of Theo's results appeared, a hushed silence fell over the once-bustling hall.

Amazement, envy, and jealousy were just a few of the emotions that were shown on the participant's faces as they observed Theo's impressive results.
To awaken the second-highest tier of talent was a significant achievement, and it was clear that whoever possessed such talent had a promising future.
"Sir, please follow me to the next hall," the examiner said, rising from her seat. Her smile was warm, carrying a hint of eagerness to establish a connection with Theo. Not only was he handsome, but his undeniable talent made him an appealing prospect.
The bustling atmosphere returned to the hall, and the conversations reignited.
However, this time, the discussions revolved around Theo's result, his name becoming a topic of admiration and intrigue among the participants.
Another examiner took the position at the evaluation counter.
"Next, number 1035," the announcement came.
As conversations still buzzed about Theo's results, Luna stepped forward to the evaluation counter.
As she placed her hand on the examination sphere, different from Theo, the sphere emanated a brilliant and intense glow, casting a blinding light that illuminate the entire hall.
"Ugh, it's too bright. Who is it?" the light's radiance was overwhelming, causing many to shield their eyes.
As they slowly opened their eyes, a collective gasp swept through the hall. The sight before them left everyone flabbergasted.
"Impossible," people muttered, their disbelief thought.

Talent — Epic
------------------------------------
An epic talent emerged in District 8.
Some people even rubbed their eyes, hoping that they were seeing it wrong. Yet, as the words stared back at them, the reality of the situation became undeniable.
Guided by the examiner, Luna moved to the next hall, leaving the masses in a state of bewilderment.
After she left, the entire hall erupted into a frenzy, leaving them struggling to process what they had just witnessed.
The realization that a future S-rank Magicia had been born right before their eyes was unbelievable. For them, her future was boundless, transcending any limit, and not even the sky could restrain her potential.
"Next, number 1036," the examiner announced, and all eyes turned to Azrael as he stepped forward. Aware that he was part of the group that had produced two geniuses in a row, everyone anticipated his results.
Azrael placed his hand on the examination sphere.
"Let the mana inside the sphere flow into your body," instructed the examiner.
The mana energy surged from the sphere directly into Azrael's body, infusing him with a refreshing vitality that made his body feel lighter.
Once again, the hall fell into a hushed silence as they awaited Azrael's results to appear on the screen.

Talent — Common

"Phew, I don't know what I'd do if another genius shows up," someone else sighed in relief.
"Oh, it's just a common talent," a stranger remarked with a hint of mockery and a mixed sense of relief that another high-tier talent hadn't appeared.
"That's a good thing. He's only awakened a common talent," whispered a student from the same school, his words tinged with a mix of reassurance for himself.
Suddenly, Azrael's gaze at him causing the student to lower his head, realizing his stupid comment.
Azrael couldn't care less about the opinions of others. However, what truly surprised him was what he saw next.
In front of him, a series of black window-like HUDs resembling a game interface appear displaying everyone's stats.

"It's called 'Eye of The World'," a familiar voice echoed inside Azrael's mind.
Startled and confused, Azrael let out a sharp shout. "Show yourself!"
Hearing this, the student who had spoken earlier remained rooted to the spot, didn't dare to step forward or even meet Azrael's gaze.
He looked down at the floor, feeling a strong wish to retract his previous comment. "Sorry, senior," he muttered meekly.
Then, out of thin air, a handsome figure gradually materialized, dressed in white attire that make him look angelic. "It's me," the man said with his gentle smile.
Azrael stared blankly, realizing that the man before him was none other than the heavenly demon—Jing Qiáng.
"Here's your card's result, you can go to the next hall," the examiner's words brought Azrael back to the present. Taking the cards, he immediately moved down the corridor that led to the next hall.
"What you want?" Azrael asked, realizing that he was the only one who could see Jing Qiáng.
"Nothing." Jing Qiáng replied, "So did you like my gift?" he inquired, to which Azrael responded with silence. "Consider it my expression of goodwill, to our first encounter, and do keep in mind you can communicate with me through your thought."
As Azrael reached the end of the corridor and entered the next hall, he noticed that the crowd was smaller than in the previous one.
His gaze spotted Luna & Theo engaged in conversation with the event observer, Aryan Christopher. As Azrael approached, Aryan bid his farewell and left them to their business.
"Did you two already select the equipment?" Azrael asked.
"Not yet. We were waiting for you," replied Theo.
"Why not try using your new skill on them? You can do that by stating the skill's name," Jing Qiáng suggested.
Hearing that, Azrael didn't oppose the idea; he too is also curious about his childhood friends' stats.

"She possesses limitless potential," Jing Qiáng remarked.
"Do you know what weapon to choose, Luna?" Azrael asked.
Hesitantly, she replied, "Um, I'm still unsure."
"Why not pick a bow? That way, you won't need to face monsters head-on."
"Okay, I'll pick that." Luna liking the idea.
Azrael turned to Theo. "Theo, What about you?"

"I'll pick a sword, and maybe later I can buy a shield too, like a knight. Doesn't that sound cool?" Theo said with excitement.
"Yeah, that suits you," Azrael slightly smiled.
"How about you, Akki?" asked Luna curiously.
"I'm thinking of steel staff."
"That sound cool," Theo commented.
"Well, since we all already know what to pick, let's go straight to the counter."
As there were fewer people in this hall compared to the previous one, several counters had an empty line. Azrael moved to one of the counters.
"Result cards?" inquired a staff agent. Azrael handed over his result cards. After verifying their authenticity, the staff member asked again, "What type of weapon would you like?"
"Give me a steel staff."
"A double short staff or a long one?"
"Long one."
"What type of armor? Heavy or light?"
"Light armor."
"Please wait a moment." A magical cube materialized in front of the staff agent, and he put his hand passed through it, retrieving the items one by one.
There was a set of brown sturdy light armor made from monster leather, a silver steel staff that measured 180 cm or 6 ft in length, a guidebook on mana control, and a small dimensional pouch to store all the items.
"Touch this pouch and try sensing the mana inside," Azrael followed the instructions. "Now imagine channeling mana energy from your body to the pouch." The pouch glowed faintly before settling down.
The agent placed all the items into the pouch. "Here's your equipment, all stored within the pouch. You can access them by infusing your mana into it, and the weight limit is 10 kilograms." Azrael took the pouch and secured it to his belt.
Rejoining Theo and Luna, Azrael asked, "You two finished?"
"Yep–(yeah)," they nodded.
Theo added, "Father called. He said he's waiting in the parking lot."
"Ok then, Let's go."
**********
As the trio exited the building, they got encircled by the crowd in a mere seconds, getting tightly packed in the middle.
The crowd shouted, bumped, and shoved against each other, creating a chaotic mix of voices.
"Please join our guild–" "Wild Scythe Guild will not disappoint–"
Turn out, the news of Luna and Theo's talents had already spread far and wide, attracting numerous recruiters to District 8.
"I'm from Messia–" The recruiters were all eager, afraid of missing out on the chance to recruit such exceptional talents. "My name–"
"Everyone, please calm down! One by one," Theo attempted to calm the situation, while his hand was full carrying a load of business cards from the recruiters.
But his efforts were in vain; the crowd showed no signs of slowing down.
On the other hand, Luna was bewildered by the chaos, unsure of how to react.
Meanwhile, Azrael starts to get pushed away by the recruiters, and the distance between him and Luna began to grows. He attempt to reach her, to grasp her hand, but the crowd was too dense.
"Luna! Take my hand!" Azrael shouted.
Hearing his voice Luna back to her senses, and extended her hand to him.
Azrael grabbed her hand firmly and started to forge a path through the crowd, pushing aside the recruiters who were vying for their attention. "Call us! You'll not regret it–" the recruiters shouted, "Get out of my way!" Azrael retorts sharply.
"Eh, Akki! wait for me," seeing Azrael and Luna pushing forward, Theo wasted no time. He joined them without hesitation, releasing all the business cards to the ground like discarded leaves.
Witnessing the scene, the security personnel sprang into action.
They swiftly moved to assist, creating a barrier between the determined recruiters and the trio. Previously, they were caught off guard by the speed of events.
As the trio rushed to the parking area, they spotted Haru and Jenna there. With the rumbling sound of the crowd's footsteps emerges from behind, signaling that the security can't restrain them much longer.
"Dad, start the car now!" shout Theo.
In response, Haru swiftly ignited the car's engine. "Hop in!"
Without hesitation, they piled into the car, and Haru accelerated immediately. Aunt Jenna sat in the front passenger seat, still dressed in her lawyer suit, a perplexed expression on her face. "What's happening?"
Azrael replied nonchalantly, "These two awakened high talents."
Theo chimed in, "Hah, I didn't expect it to attract so much attention."
"Oh, so all three of you awakened magical talents?" Aunt Jenna sought clarification.
"Yeah," Theo confirmed.
"Congrats kids," Uncle Haru's voice brimmed with pride and warmth.
As the car sped away from the chaotic scene, the noise of the crowd gradually faded. The trio exchanged glances, a mix of exhilaration displayed in their eyes.
