Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: A Divine Conversation

Necro sat there, deeply moved by the emotional rollercoaster of the video he had just watched. As the second video started playing, he braced himself for what was to come.

Amidst the clouds stood a portly man who had recently departed from the mortal realm. He gazed at the majestic throne before him, his brows furrowing in confusion. "Hello, anyone there?"

God's voice resonated, carrying a sense of authority. "You don't need to yell; I'm on the throne."

The man's eyes widened. "Eh? You're invisible?"

God explained, "No, you just can't see me because you lack that capability."

Perplexed, the man requested a simpler explanation. "Can you put it in terms I can grasp?"

"A bacteria exists in three dimensions. It can grow, and multiply, but can't fully comprehend those concepts. An ant can move through three dimensions but doesn't understand flying. Humans, on the other hand, perceive three dimensions and experience time as the fourth, though they cannot alter it."

The man nodded slowly. "Okay, got it. So I can't see you because I lack that capability."

God affirmed, "Indeed, that's correct."

The man inquired, "How can I bridge this gap and perceive you?"

"To achieve that, you must evolve considerably, only then will you start feeling my presence."

The man tried to grasp the analogy. "So, I'm like an ant, and you're like a human?"

God provided a deeper perspective. "If we were to compare me and you, you're akin to a subatomic particle while I represent multiple dimensions. However, don't try to fully understand me; it's beyond your capacity."

Curious, the man questioned the purpose of life. "So, what's the meaning of life?"

"Survive, be happy, reproduce, try to evolve, teach your descendants, and eventually pass away."

The man's expression shifted to bewilderment. "So, what's next? Do I just fade away?"

God clarified, "No, you were evil in one of your previous life, threw away your last one, so I'll send you to a world with only 367 days left. You can choose to become strong and save it, or you can do nothing and face purgatory. Alternatively, you can enjoy happiness in that world and still end up in purgatory."

The Japanese man was rendered speechless by the revelation.

God continued, "I'll erase your memories, but you can make two wishes before that."

Confused, the man questioned the reduction in wishes. "Wait a minute, isn't it supposed to be three?"

"You already wished to see your granddaughter," God reminded.

Concerned, the man sought reassurance. "Wait, you won't kill or harm or send her to that world, right?"

God assured him, "Don't worry; there are ways for you to see her."

Feeling relieved, the man pondered his situation. "To be a good person, don't I need to remember all of this?"

"Look at your upper right," God directed.

The man followed the instruction and found nothing there.

God elucidated, "Don't concern yourself; eventually, you'll understand. Now, state your second wish."

The man hesitated, his mind racing through his options. "Can I ask for eternal life?"

God issued a warning, "Trying to be clever will cost you a wish."

The man carefully weighed his words. "Is the world I'm being sent to a fantasy realm?"

"Wish granted. Magic now exists on that planet. History has been altered; 367 days remain until world annihilation."

Caught in a predicament, the man considered his next words with utmost care. "I wish for the means to save that world and others."

"Wish granted. All jobs are bestowed upon you. Farewell."

The man watched his arm vanish, muttering his gratitude. "Thank you for this final chance."

God's words held a surprising note. "It's the first time you've thanked me."

Perplexed, the man responded, "?????"

"I am Yumekage Haruka, and I will strive to change my karma and save my sorry ass" he declared with newfound determination.

God had one last directive. "By the way, this time, I'll cleanse that disrespectful mouth of yours."

As the video concluded, Necro contemplated the revelations before him. "what the fudge, my old me looked directly in my direction, well, that explains a lot."
